Two months after I got back from Japan, I took a plane right back to Asia to see friends in Seoul. Partly because I wanted to get out of NYC in December (but it turned out Seoul was colder…oops), partly to prove to people that I can take trips to places besides Japan, but mainly because I found tickets at a ridiculous price.

Seoul had been on my to-do list for years, and this was my first trip there. What surprised me the most about Seoul was how almost all my friends drove cars. I guess I didn’t expect Seoul to be so car-centric. The massive highways cutting through the city should’ve been a dead giveaway. As it were, I got around just fine with the mass transit…admittedly via the bus more than the subway.
