My trip to China didn’t fully satisfy my travel needs, so I was mulling over whether I should take another trip somewhere before the end of the year. Thankfully my cousin contacted me about how she was studying in Kyoto and was wondering if I wanted to visit her. I literally booked my flight and hotels that same day.
As a side-project, I also decided to make a time-lapse video of my trip to show my office for a presentation. This worked out pretty well as I would spend the day shooting footage around Kyoto while my cousin was in class, and we would meet up later to have fun with my cousin and her friends. When her classes ended for the year, I dragged her with me to Tokyo to see the sights, shoot more footage, and ring in the new year.
